Canada is once again champions at the 2016 IIHF World Tournament held in Moscow and St Petersburg May 6-22. The Canadian team entered as returning champions defeating Finland 2-0 in the final match.

Air Canada Rouge launches Warsaw-Toronto flights

Air Canada are delighted to launch direct flights between Warsaw and Toronto from June 15, 2016. This is a summer season addition that will be operated by Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada’s leisure carrier. The flights will be flown with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft offering a choice of premium and economy cabins

Air Canada are delighted to launch direct flights between Warsaw and Toronto from June 15, 2016.  This is a summer season addition that will be operated by Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada’s leisure carrier.

The flights will be flown with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft offering a choice of premium and economy cabins.  The flights will operate four times weekly with service ending for the season on September 30, 2016.

Paul Fogo is a managing partner in JF Legal Jakubaszek & Fogo sp. k. Previously for 12 years he was an attorney in US-Canadian law firm with three offices in Poland. Mr. Fogo is married and he and his wife, Elizabeth, have one child, Matthew. Paul lives in Poland almost 20 years. Paul focuses his practice on advising both foreign and local investors on EU law, share purchase agreements, technology licensing agreements, real estate acquisition and development. Paul received his law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC in 1998. While finishing his law degree, he studied Polish commercial law at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Prior to entering law school Paul worked for ten years as a real estate agent.

New eTA requirment for travel to Canada

Travel to Canada now requires all visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly or transit through Canada to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

Travel to Canada now requires all visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly or transit through Canada to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa.  Until September 29, 2016, travellers who do not have an eTA can board their flight as long as they have appropriate travel documents, such as a valid passport.

Entry requirements for other methods of travel (land, sea) have not changed.

Quebec director Xavier Dolan is feeling proud after winning the pretigious second-place Grand Prix at the 69th Cannes Film Festival for “Juste la fin du monde” (It’s only the end of the world).

The young 27-year old filmmaker is not new to the international stage as he made his first foray into the Canne festival in 2009 with “J’ai tue ma mere” (I killed my mother), which he wrote when he was only 17.
