Winter Reception 2018

On February 15th, 2018, the 7th edition of the Winter Reception took place at the Embassy of Canada. The event was well attended with over 150 guests. The evening’s guest speaker was Mr. Piotr Kowalski, an independent observer of the Polish economic and political scene with a 20-year career as head of CEE for Fitch Ratings, who provided commentary on short- and long-term perspectives for Poland’s development.

IGCC meeting with Minister Morawiecki, May 17th

The IGCC International Group of Chambers of Commerce were delighted for the attendance of Minister Morawiecki at a breakfast meeting on May 17th at the InterContinental Hotel. The Minister covered several questions of importance for foreign investors put forward by the chambers including: special economic zones, Poland’s entry to the Euro-zone, problems connected with decreasing unemployment, bottlenecks in company registration, tax collection, environmental protection, bidding process for construction contracts, reform of the foreign trade promotion offices abroad, amongst others.

Spring Business Mixer and Whisky Tasting

A joint spring business mixer was held with colleagues from the Irish-Polish Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 30th at Bar and Books Podwale. An introduction to the world of whisky was made by Jamesons’ representative, followed by tastings of Canadian and Irish whiskys. The evening ended on a fun note with a blind tasting face-off between the Canadian, New Zealand, and Irish Ambassadors.

Fall Business Mixer with CETA Presentation

The PCCC were delighted to host colleagues from the Irish Polish Chamber of Commerce to a CETA presentation and business mixer on December 1, 2016. The event was held at the Beaver Club, Embassy of Canada. An update on the status of CETA was given by Nicolas Lepage, Senior Trade Counselor followed by a talk on the myths and facts of CETA by Roman Iwański.

Business Breakfast with Air France/KLM

A networking breakfast was hosted by Air France/KLM on November 28th, 2016 at Endorfina Restaurant. Members of PCCC were able to catch up with colleagues and to have the opportunity to learn more about the latest in efficiency and comfort from business travel from Air France/KLM.

Wine Tasting with Mazzei at Mielżyński with Italian Chamber

On October 19th, 2016, the PCCC together with guests from the Italian Chamber of Commerce enjoyed a special wine tasting presented by Filipo Mazzei of Mazzei Vineyard. The wines were matched with a superb meal hosted by Robert Mielżyński. The evening was an excellent backdrop for successful networking.
