Saskatchewan’s Minister of Crown Investments Corporation (CIC) and Minister Responsible for SaskPower Jeremy Harrison – who is leading a delegation to Poland to attend the World Nuclear Supply Chain Conference – met on May 21 in Warsaw for a mutual consultation with PCCC President Bernhard L. Otterstein.
Topics of discussion centred around Saskatchewan’s role as a key supplier of fuel to the international nuclear industry, its contributions towards best practices in the industry in cooperation with various global programs developing and operating the latest nuclear-related technologies, as well as Saskatchewan’s unique advantages in enhancing energy security around the world.
Canada and Poland share a strong strategic and economic partnership, and mutual cooperation in the further development of safe, economically-viable nuclear technologies and facilities is becoming one of the focal points of the bilateral economic relationship, which the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce is active in furthering.
