Back to Business Speed Mixer_September 17

Numerous PCCC members had once again the opportunity to join the Back to Business Speed Mixer.

This recurring event is co-organized by the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce together with the following IGCC chambers of commerce:

Guests were officially welcomed by:

  • Bernhard Otterstein – President of the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and
  • Professor Grażyna Aniszewska Banaś – Director of the Canadian Executive MBA (CEMBA) program at SGH.

 

The SGH Warsaw School of Economics was the strategic partner of the event, and its Canadian Executive MBA (CEMBA) program is a distinguished member of PCCC.

The opening panel discussion, “From Campus to Boardroom: Future Competencies for Business Success,” led by Academic Software Polska, drew remarkable interest and attracted an exceptionally large audience.

Following the panel, three dynamic networking sessions took place, further energized by the strong turnout of this year’s CEMBA alumni, whose presence brought a special vitality to the evening.
Conversations continued well into the late hours during the cocktail reception.

Bernhard Otterstein was born and educated in Vancouver, Canada, where he graduated with honours from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He has worked with numerous corporate, governmental, and institutional entities in North America, Europe and Asia in the areas of economic analysis, strategic project and investment planning, new market development, as well as cross-cultural communications. He has been directly involved in projects in the fields of real estate, engineering, energy, biotechnology and IT/telecommunications.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Otterstein has gained first-hand experience in identifying and promoting innovative, emerging technologies and related business opportunities, taking them from early stage to market via private equity investment and the active co-management of several start-up ventures.
