Canada strengthens commitment to Ukraine at ReBuild Ukraine 2025_November 13-14

The PCCC was represented at the 5th International ReBuild Ukraine Exhibition and Conference in Warsaw by President Bernhard L. Otterstein and Vice President Areta Kempinska. The delegation joined the official opening of the Canada Pavilion, standing alongside Embassy of Canada to Poland, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and other members of the Canadian delegation.

The presence of government and private-sector representatives highlighted Canada’s continued commitment to Ukraine’s recovery and long-term resilience. The conference featured dynamic discussions, important meetings, and the exchange of bold ideas aimed at shaping concrete reconstruction projects — from strengthening energy security to supporting economic revival.

This event underscored the close collaboration between public and private partners and reinforced Canada’s readiness to support Ukraine’s reconstruction. The Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce remains dedicated to fostering partnerships and creating opportunities that will help build a prosperous future for Ukraine.

Bernhard Otterstein was born and educated in Vancouver, Canada, where he graduated with honours from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He has worked with numerous corporate, governmental, and institutional entities in North America, Europe and Asia in the areas of economic analysis, strategic project and investment planning, new market development, as well as cross-cultural communications. He has been directly involved in projects in the fields of real estate, engineering, energy, biotechnology and IT/telecommunications.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Otterstein has gained first-hand experience in identifying and promoting innovative, emerging technologies and related business opportunities, taking them from early stage to market via private equity investment and the active co-management of several start-up ventures.
