North American Networking Night_October 3

On October 3rd, PCCC participated in the North American Networking Night organized by Rzeszów City. It is the second edition of event bringing together American and Canadian businesses in a fantastic setting. This event, also served as the closing highlight of the Sustainable Cities Trade & Investment Mission, where Canadian Smart City companies connected with Polish partners on innovative, sustainable green solutions.

The evening was officially opened by Konrad Fijołek, President of Rzeszów City, H.E Catherine Godin, Ambassador of Canada, and Erin Nickerson, the U.S. Consul General from Kraków. On behalf of the Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (PCCC), George Havaris, Treasurer and Board Member, delivered remarks. The Chamber was well represented with over a dozen members attending, all recognizing Rzeszów’s strategic importance in business growth and its leading role in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Bernhard Otterstein was born and educated in Vancouver, Canada, where he graduated with honours from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He has worked with numerous corporate, governmental, and institutional entities in North America, Europe and Asia in the areas of economic analysis, strategic project and investment planning, new market development, as well as cross-cultural communications. He has been directly involved in projects in the fields of real estate, engineering, energy, biotechnology and IT/telecommunications.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Otterstein has gained first-hand experience in identifying and promoting innovative, emerging technologies and related business opportunities, taking them from early stage to market via private equity investment and the active co-management of several start-up ventures.
