Canadian Presidency of the International Group of Chambers of Commerce (IGCC) Poland

On July 1st, the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce assumed the rotating presidency of the International Group of Chambers of Commerce (IGCC) Poland.

We want to express our sincere appreciation and ‘Obrigado’ (thank you) to the Polish Portuguese Chamber of Commerce for their excellent work and cooperation over the past six months. To commemorate their successful presidency and transition, PCCC’s own Bernhard Otterstein (President) and Katarzyna Stachowicz (Executive Director) joined other IGCC-member chambers for a celebratory handover lunch at Portugalia Gourmet.

Thank you to the following chambers for participating and for the opportunity to re-connect: Belgian Business Chamber (BBC), Poland-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, Polish-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce ( SPCC ), British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC), Polish Spanish Chamber of Commerce / Cámara de Comercio Polaco Española, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Poland, Irish Polish Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.

Moving forward, the goals of the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce‘s six-month presidency will concentrate on continuing fruitful cooperation and strong coordination with other member chambers to implement the autumn and winter networking events, starting with the Back to Business Mixer co-organized with SGH Warsaw School of Economics; holding discussion sessions with elected officials and public servants on pro-investment policies; and planning for 2025 activities and initiatives.

At the PCCC, we remain dedicated and steadfast to working alongside other member chambers and partners to deliver over the next six months.

RECENT POSTS

Bernhard Otterstein was born and educated in Vancouver, Canada, where he graduated with honours from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He has worked with numerous corporate, governmental, and institutional entities in North America, Europe and Asia in the areas of economic analysis, strategic project and investment planning, new market development, as well as cross-cultural communications. He has been directly involved in projects in the fields of real estate, engineering, energy, biotechnology and IT/telecommunications.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Otterstein has gained first-hand experience in identifying and promoting innovative, emerging technologies and related business opportunities, taking them from early stage to market via private equity investment and the active co-management of several start-up ventures.
