Happy Canada Day!

It was a pleasure for the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce to co-host this year’s official Canada Day celebration together with the Embassy of Canada.

Ambassador Catherine Godin—in what was also her farewell Canada Day addresshighlighted the strength of CanadaPoland relations and the continued growth of our partnership across trade, investment, and people-to-people ties. Her remarks were echoed by Poland’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wladyslaw T. Bartoszewski, who reaffirmed the importance of the strong bilateral relationship.

PCCC President Bernhard L. Otterstein highlighted successful Canada-Poland cooperation across energy and resource security, IT, defense, and high-precision manufacturing, plus advancing Canada-EU trade relations under CETA. He also thanked the Chamber’s following member companies for their generous support of the event:

The event provided an excellent opportunity for the international diplomatic, government and business communitiesincluding many members of the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerceto network whilecelebrating mutual friendships and the growing partnership between Canada and Poland.

Bernhard Otterstein was born and educated in Vancouver, Canada, where he graduated with honours from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He has worked with numerous corporate, governmental, and institutional entities in North America, Europe and Asia in the areas of economic analysis, strategic project and investment planning, new market development, as well as cross-cultural communications.
