Xavier Dolan takes home Grand Prix award at Cannes

Quebec director Xavier Dolan is feeling proud after winning the pretigious second-place Grand Prix at the 69th Cannes Film Festival for “Juste la fin du monde” (It’s only the end of the world).

The young 27-year old filmmaker is not new to the international stage as he made his first foray into the Canne festival in 2009 with “J’ai tue ma mere” (I killed my mother), which he wrote when he was only 17.
