Spring Reception_March 19

Last night, the Embassy of Canada | Ambassade du Canada and Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual, joint Spring Reception at the Embassy of Canada, and what a joyous occasion it was!
Not only did we rejoice in the spirit of the approaching Spring season, but we also commemorated the remarkable 20-year journey of the PCCC and the strong, bilaterial strategic relationship between Cananda and Poland!

This year the focus of our gathering was on nuclear energy and energy security, as well as the potential for collaboration between Polish and Canadian companies in this sector in order to facilitate the transition to cleaner, stable energy solutions in Poland, the CEE and across Europe.

HE Catherine Godin, Ambassador of Canada to Poland, Bernhard L. Otterstein, President of the PCCC, and Carl Marcotte, Senior Vice-President of AtkinsRéalis each provided a short keynote address to help focus the discussion on the importance of the bilateral relationship underlying continued efforts to develop and strengthen the cooperation of both countries in the nuclear energy space, as Canada shares its decades of nuclear energy leadership and expertise, including access to diversified technological solutions, reliable contractors and critical supply chain with Poland.

It was inspiring to see representatives from both nations engaging in discussions, paving the way for future partnerships in combatting climate change while assuring a secure and reliable supply of green, sustainable energy to the region.
