The 2016 Winter Reception was a lively edition with the theme “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” featuring Canadian transport and transport technology.

The 2016 Winter Reception was a lively edition with the theme “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” featuring Canadian transport and transport technology.

The event, which took place at the Embassy of Canada on February 25th, hosted over 140 guests that included PCCC members, and representatives from the business, cultural and administrative sectors.  Highlights of the evening included a performance by Juno-award winning producer/DJ Ariel Bialski aka DJ Heights and an exceptional prize draw for tickets on Air Canada Rouge, a premier viewing of Bombardier’s new C-series commercial jet, and a bottle of world renowned Seagrams Crown Royal.  Guests were also able to see a display of the new Syrena concept car and Bombardier’s latest rail and air transport technology.

Membership

The PCCC aims to provide its members with unique opportunities to network and meet other members of the business community and influential figures in public office.  As we work closely with the Trade Section of the Canadian Embassy and with other Chambers of Commerce, you will also benefit from access to support at different Polish and international levels.

Our calendar of events falls into three categories:

1. Special Events

Fees

Our membership fees operate on two levels:

Corporate membership – 2500 PLN/year

Patron membership – 6600 PLN/year

Regular membership benefits include:

  • attendance at all Chamber events
  • placement of logo and link to company information on the PCCC website
  • the possibility to promote your company as a paying sponsor at all Chamber events

Patron membership benefits include the benefits available to Corporate membership plus the following additional privileges:

  • Patron’s logo prominently displayed on the PCCC website

Speed Business Mixer 2015

The PCCC were pleased to join the Belgian, British, Italian, Netherlands and Spanish Chambers in a Speed Business Meeting in Warsaw on 22 September 2015.

The grand event took place at Batida Restaurant with over 100 firms in attendance.

The evening started off with three rounds of speed meeting, followed by an open mixer for all guests.

Pol Eco System Poznan 2015

The Canadian Sustainable Technology Mission to Poland participated in the Pol-Eco-System trade fair in Poznan 27-30 October, 2015.

The Canadian Sustainable Technology Mission to Poland participated in the Pol-Eco-System trade fair in Poznan 27-30 October, 2015.

The trade mission was comprised of 12 companies representing innovative technologies in waste, water and environmental solutions.  Accompanying the trade mission was the International Trade Branch of the Government of Ontario.

A business mixer was jointly hosted by the trade section of the Embassy of Canada and the PCCC on the evening of 28 October.  Attending the cocktail were representatives of the city of Poznan, Ministry of Environment as well as companie from the Polish clean tech sector.

CETA update from Steve Verheul

The PCCC and Embassy of Canada in Poland were delighted to host a breakfast meeting to hear an update on CETA from Steve Verheul, Canada’s Chief Negotiator on CETA.

The PCCC and Embassy of Canada in Poland were delighted to host a breakfast meeting to hear an update on CETA from Steve Verheul, Canada’s Chief Negotiator on CETA.

The agreement is currently undergoing legal scrub in preparation for ratification in both Canada and the EU.  Authorities and businesses on both sides of the Atlantic continue to familiarize themselves with CETA in anticipation of the agreement coming into force by the end of 2017.

Hubert Durlik_Board Member

Hubert Durlik is the owner of ICS POLSKA and he represents Canadian and European manufacturers on the Polish market. Mr. Durlik graduated from Technical University In Gdańsk with a Msc degree in Electrical Engineering, after which he worked in Toronto, Canada for several years as an electrical engineer for major electrical contractors In the country. In 1998 he completed the Canadian Executive MBA program offered by Warsaw School of Economics in conjunction with University of Calgary In Alberta. Currently Mr. Hubert Durlik resides in Poland where in addition to managing a security company, he also remains active in domestic, as well as international security associations as POLALARM& ASIS. He is salso one of the founding members as well as a board member of the Polish Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

About Us

History

The PCCC was started by a small group of volunteers and was established as a full Chamber of Commerce in 2004.  With six board members, a president, an executive director, over 50member companies, and strong support from the Canadian Embassy, it  has become one of the strongest Polish-Canadian business organizations in Poland.

Chamber today

The Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce aims to promote economic, cultural and commercial relations between Poland and Canada that lead to “real” investment and trade.

The PCCC offers its members and patrons a variety of services including:

  • Business seminars
  • Business mixers, luncheons, and social events (“New Year Reception”, “Canada Day Picnic”)
  • Networking support with local and Canada-based companies and organizations
  • Advertising (on our web site) or promotion of your business in other ways
